These volunteers fulfill many important rolls on Sunday morning.  Acting in one of these rolls is an excellent way to get to know other people and is a meaningful way to serve God.

Spiritual Growth Opportunities

In 2005 Three Willows United Church was formed with the leadership of co/ministers, Rev. Dr. Diane Elder Clark and Rev. Paul Clarkson.

The Spirituality Women’s Group began in 2006 under the leadership of Rev. Diane, who retired from Three Willows in 2007. Rev. Diane has left a beautiful legacy here at Three Willows U.C.

The facilitator of the Women’s Spirituality Group is Sara Smith. We meet in the afternoon on Wednesdays in May and June for six weeks again.

Prayer deepens one’s relationship with God. We enjoy a trusting relationship with each other as we share our stories and find peace and healing. We welcome new members.

Spiritual Growth Opportunities

The UCW, or United Church Women, meet the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Three Willows, from September to June. We provide fellowship and support to women and other organizations, in our church community and globally.

The UCW sponsors many programs within the church. The group raises funds by organizing the December “Sparkles in the Willow Tea”; running a plant sale at the annual Spring Garage Sale; and catering (application forms are available at the church office). Money raised has provided our church kitchen with a dishwasher, including water softener, plumbing and wiring as well as two new refrigerators and stoves. We also donate money each year to projects brought forward by the group such as the GoGo Grannies and Women in Crisis.

Our meetings have four parts: a business meeting to share information and make decisions about what we want to do as a group, a spiritual segment, a program on a topic of interest to women, then refreshments and fellowship.

All women are welcome. Check the calendar for the topic of the next meeting.
